Pat,
Thanks so much for keeping and posting this journal. It will help countless spouses, particularly husbands, understand their feelings and reactions in a similar situation. The cancer patient’s feelings, emotions, and reactions have been given much more attention than the spouse’s. As you have made clear, cancer, and its treatment, affects the whole family deeply.
What you, Karen, and the kids are going through is not easy, but you are both a shining beacon for those who will gain strength from how you are both handling this. You are teaching all of us just how faithful God is. You are living what you what you have given us from the pulpit, and showing us how to live it ourselves.
Maria’s and my prayers are with both of you and your family every day. Thanks again for sharing such personal details and helping us to understand.
Hey there, I just attended your church for the first time today.
I just want you and your wife to know that I am very much thinking and praying for you. Cancer sucks…bottom line.
I know several individuals dealing with the same thing, I am familiar with it.
I am amazed that Pat can do a service during all of this…what strength…and what a testimony!
I don’t think i have much to say that you probably havent heard already…but just know….I have been really touched this past month with a certain church i went to in So Cal that directed me and my BF to your church…I felt so at home there today.
Thank you so much. And also if there is anything i can possibly do to help you, your wife or kids, i would love to.
