Congrats Karen (and family)!
Pat is too cheap and won’t fly me out but I’ll be there in spirit.
Pat and Karen, we are so happy for you and praise God for his healing hand. Wish we could party with you, but we will be there in spirit.
Pat & Karen –
I’m so proud of you two and the rest of the family in letting us share in your suffering. We won’t be able to make the party.
Pat – your blog has been helpful for me to keep abreast of your family. My only sorrow is that I’m not as good at returning the correspondence. You’re quite the pastor and husband. Keep up the good work – you’re an encouragement to many.
Karen – what a trooper. I’ll only say that Jackie and I have another friend of the family who also has cancer and isn’t doing as well spiritually as she fights this disease. She’s really struggling. You can pray for her, her name is Mary, she’s in her late 60’s, a devoted Christian and dying from brain cancer. I can’t begin to put myself in her or your shoes. Pray that she’ll overflow with kindness to her family as continues each day.
Jackie and I love you and Pat so much.
Karen and Pat,
I don’t know you both. I know Pat from High School. A good man even then. Pat was kind enough to allow me to be a friend on Facebook. I didn’t even know what I was doing at first…I was meandering through the site as somebody invited me and somehow I connected with Pat’s book. Even though we have never contacted one another, I have been following your pages. I have cried for you..and your families…and praised God for His work in your lives. Pat, I think you should keep the blog going…if we intend to reach those only when we are going through “war” it makes no sense…you have a life full of riches that people will and do take hold of…it needs to be shared even if all is well in the moment. That is my input for your previous wonder of what to do with the blog. Let it happen and let God lead you. Karen will help. Your blog is His testimony, not just ‘your’ journey, but His word to people. Let it happen. I will be at your home May 3rd in spirit…and prayer. God’s blessings to your family.
How I wish I could be there to celebrate with you guys. I will put aside some time on May 3 to offer up a special praise for you two and Karens healing.
Love Chelsea
